New sights that delighted my eyes!

Singapore

IMG_0382
What do you think about christmas in the tropics? You wouldn't believe the number of lights around the City Center in Singapore during the christmas holiday season! We arrived late in Singapore and decided to take a walk along the Singapore river to maybe see some sights! (Haha! I don't know about seeing some sights, but the lights were beautiful!)

Isn't the building amazing? It looks like a spaceship at night! Of course, during the daytime, not so much... Hee-hee! We found out that it was the Marina Bay Sands casino and hotel resort that was opened that year we visited. And no, we did not get to see the inside of the hotel, though, I think it might be fun to get on the part where it looks like a spaceship... =D

A little ways from the spaceship building, we saw the Singapore Flyer, which is I guess like the London Eye, in London of course... Hee-hee! To the left of the photo, you'll see a sort of durian shaped building, which is the Esplanade and from what I remember is like a performing arts center. Boy have they got interesting architecture in Singapore, right?!

I love aquariums! Oops... I guess the place is called an oceanarium according to wikipedia. D'oh, the place is called "Manila Ocean Park".

Here's one of my favorite fishes, the cowfish!

The exhibits were pretty interesting. It cracked me up a little when I saw the mussels. Hee-hee!

IMG_0230
Here's another one that cracked me up, crabs! I guess I'm not used to seeing stuff I eat in an aquarium.... He-he-he!

IMG_0231
Doesn't the eyes of these rays look sinister? =D

IMG_0239
Look at those lips! Does it remind you of Angelina Jolie? Hee-hee!

IMG_0270
Now this, is one happy fish! Just don't ask me what sort of fish this is... I don't remember at all! =)

IMG_0289
Here's a view of Manila Bay. I didn't realize before that there are a lot of ships there!

IMG_0286
This was hilarious! The vehicle you see is a sample of the public transportation in the Philippines called a jeepney. On top are cockroaches! Hee-hee! If ever you're in the Philippines, you should try riding on a jeepney. You won't believe how many people they can fit in there!

IMG_0303
They even have a sea lion show there! It's not like the sea lion show at sea world, but still, not bad. I can't believe I don't have any good photos from the walkway tunnel with acrylic walls so you feel like you're surrounded by the fishies! =) My favorite acrylic tunnel is the shark one at sea world San Diego! I won't forget the cartoon looking sharks there! He-he-he!

I love the jellyfish exhibit here! I like looking at jellyfish, in an aquarium, not in the water with me in the ocean! =) Although, I've only seen jellyfish in the water when I was paddling in San Diego. There were two of them and both were as big as basketballs! It was pretty cool and at the same time scary! He-he-he!

Greenery in an urban jungle

Makati, Philippines

Who would've thunk that there is a church in the middle of a mall surrounded by greenery amidst tall buildings? I love the shape of the church building too! There's lots of colorful koi and carp in the water surrounding the church. You're also just a few steps away from the movies, restaurants, department stores and various shops!
