One of my favorite things!

This is one of my favorite zoos! Well, second to the Wild Animal Park, or as they call it now, the Safari Park! Look at the adorable animals there! Isn't the koala just cute?


This sign by the lion enclosure always cracks me up when I see it! You should definitely visit the wild animal park if you like lions! One time we were there, there were some lion cubs playing around their dad, papa lion, who was napping. Guess what papa did? He woke up and roared loudly to the cubs to let him rest in peace! Haha! Another time, the cubs were a little bit grown up, they were putting on a show for all the people waiting for the safari ride! They were chasing each other and pretend pouncing on each other! It was amazing!


 
Here's a few more animals that you can see there. There's a lot more that you can see! Just be prepared for walking around when you visit the zoo since it is a lot of walking! They do have a bus that takes you around, but I think the walk around is nice. They do have pandas there too! I love watching the pandas there! If you're around San Diego, I highly recommend visiting the zoo and the wild animal park! Well, of course I would, I love zoos! =D

National Arboretum

The National Arboretum is beautiful in autumn! Even the bonsai trees are in their fall colors!


 
Do you see what I mean when I mentioned even the bonsai's are in their fall colors? Beautiful, right?


 
The bonsai there are impressive! Some of them are almost 200 year old bonsai. I like the captions that they use, "In training since 1832".


 
I forgot the story of why the columns are there at the arboretum, it is beautiful though!


 
I know, all I can say about the National Arboretum in fall is it's beautiful! Just look at all those fall colors! Here's to next fall! =)

2013 NYC Marathon

New York, NY

 
Nope, I did not run a marathon! I did go to the 2013 NYC Marathon to cheer on a friend! It was a lot of fun being a spectator! The top photo is right before the runners cross the bridge from Queens to Manhattan and the photos below it is close to Columbus Circle! As you can see, we were able to watch for my friend at 2 locations! Yes, we were able to eat lunch and what not in between the two points we watched! Haha! Seeing a marathon in person taught me a few things. Marathon runners come in all sizes and shapes! It's really a very, very long run! 26.2 miles to be exact! It's fun being a spectator! They have bands playing along the way! It's wonderful people with disabilities are still able to participate in marathons! I saw a few people being pushed on their wheel chair! I think watching a marathon is an experience not to be missed!
