After seing the pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus up close, I was wondering where the sphinx was... What do you know, that's our next stop! The Sphinx in Giza is made from limestone, shaped into a body of a lion and a god's face. It looks impressive too up close and a little bit weird because it has no nose. Our guide said that when the Turks was there, they used the Sphinx as a target practice and blew off the nose... Now, I didn't even notice that it was supposed to have a beard, but we were told that we can see the Sphinx's beard in the British Museum.
