Tanzania
What a wonderful to have during breakfast! This little colorful birdie was sitting on a tree right in front of our table during breakfast!
I believe this is Lake Manyara. I could be wrong because my memory of the places we went to is now a little bit hazy... Hee-hee!
It was funny when we spotted this birds... We could here a lot of them but couldn't figure out where it's coming from until we got close to this tree where they are hanging out! Okay, don't ask what birds are these, I forgot!
Isn't the baby baboon adorable? The adult one, not so much, I think. Hee-hee! They're actually pests at some lodges trying to steal guests' food/belongings. =)
Grass, anyone?
It's not just ducks/geese who fly in a V formation! A bunch of crested cranes flying in formation.
First time I've seen love birds in the wild (If they are indeed love birds... I forgot the bird names!)! Their colors are so pretty!
Nope, I was not able to take a photo of the hippos here yawning... The birds in the back ground are pelicans!
Isn't that sweet? A couple of baboons hanging out.
Another beautiful end to a beautiful and successful day of animal watching! And no, we did not take a dip in the pool, it was too cold! (It was I guess winter time there when we went!)

More animals!
Somewhere in Tanzania
It's been a while since these photos were taken so now, I can't remember their names! Well, I know that the little squirrel/rat looking thingy is the rock hyrax... Their numbers were unbelievable at the lodge we stayed at! I remember having to dodge tons of "coco puffs" along the paths to the rooms... Hee-hee! Now the bird, I just can't remember the name... Isn't it pretty though? =)
Here's another bird that I can't remember the name... (I'm having an extreme case of senior moment for the bird names! Hehe!) Of course, I recognize the animals in the other photos, it one of the big five! The cape buffalo!
Here's a Masai giraffe crossing in front of our vehicle!
Here's a couple of richard-richard... jk! Hehe! Those are dik-diks and if I remember correctly, our guide said they are always in pairs. Aren't their ears pretty?
I remember this day was a slow day in terms of animal sightings... We saw tons of birds though! Can you see the little colorful bird in the photo? I also can't remember where is this game reserve in Tanzania... Tsk-tsk...
Here's a male and female ostrich... Can you remember which one is the male? Yup, it's the black and white one... Most females are brown colored or something boring from what I have noticed in the animals we've seen so far...
Does the bull look like he's mad and about to charge us? Hee-hee! Here's some more McDonald gazelles! (Bull and his harem!)
I have no clue why one of the giraffes is bent like that! It's hard for them to eat when they're taller than the trees they're eating from, huh?
This is the first time we saw a giraffe sitting down. We were wondering if that giraffe was sick or something... Our guide said that sitting down is one of their most vulnerable positions... Since a lion can just pounce on them and they wouldn't be able to kick away!
Our first simba in Tanzania!
Our first herd! And no, we were not that tired yet of seeing elephants... Hee-hee!
Some more giraffes, with two of them that looks like their necks are crossed.
Some common zebras.... And no, I did not see Marty from the movie Madagascar. =)
Whodathunk? Blue balls does exist! Mwehehehe! This is a male vervet monkey, I think.
I forgot what birds are roosting on the tree... Eerie though, right? This is the end of another successful day of game viewing!
