Views in DC

Washington DC

Can you tell where this is? Washington DC, of course! (See the pencil (or obelisk, if you want the right term)? Well, it's called the Washington monument, I call it the Pencil... Hee-hee!) It's still very nice there, even during Fall season!

I've been to DC a few times but have never gone to the old post office for the views. I've been to the top of the Washington monument but at this time, it was closed for repairs due to earthquake damage. Unbelievable, right? It's not California and there was an earthquake! =) I only heard about the old post office because the pencil was closed and they were advertising the old post office as an alternative to view DC. We almost didn't find the old post office, and finally found it. Doesn't look like a post office, right? Ha-ha!

Can you recognize DC from the photos above? I can, for the one with the pencil, but the others I'm not so sure... =D

This one I can also recognize as DC, because of the Capitol! =)

I forgot the significance of these bells here at the old post office, wikipedia to the rescue!
"Visitors can also view the Bells of Congress (also known as the Ditchley Bells). The bells are replicas of those at Westminster Abbey and were donated to the United States by the Ditchley Foundation as a bicentennial gift."
